Tim McCullyTIM MCCULLY, Vice President of International Programs (2005-present)

Provides strategic leadership and management for all overseas relief and development programming in Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East.

McCully has over 25 years of experience in international non-profit and program management, including over 10 years with The American Red Cross in the International Services Department. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and has lived, worked, and studied in Thailand and Hong Kong. He has also traveled extensively throughout Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe and the former Soviet Union for professional purposes.

Tim’s specific focus has been on rural livelihoods and food security, public health (emphasis on malaria and HIV/AIDS), rights-based peace and justice programming, assets-based approaches to development, disaster response and relief, gender equity, and organizational development and capacity building.

Rick PeyserRICK PEYSER, Senior Relationship Manager for Coffee & Cocoa (2014-present)

Identifies and promotes strategic partnerships in support of LWR’s work in the coffee and cocoa value chains.

Author of Brewing Change: Behind the Bean at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, which provides an in-depth analysis of the sustainable coffee movement, Peyser’s experience in the soft commodities industry spans several decades, including nearly 27 years with Keurig Green Mountain, most recently as Director of Social Advocacy and Coffee Community Outreach, as well as former leadership positions with the Specialty Coffee Association of America and the Fair Trade Labeling Organizations International (FLO).

Peyser is a founder and a board member of Food4Farmers, a nonprofit organization focused on helping coffee farmers and their families overcome the challenge of chronic seasonal hunger. He also serves on the Boards of Root Capital, Medical Care Development, Pueblo a Pueblo and the Coffee Trust.

Peyser is a graduate of Denison University and currently serves as a member of the Coalition for Coffee Communities, where he convened leaders and experts from major coffee corporations to form the specialty coffee industry’s first pre-competitive coalition focused on food security in coffee communities.
